Ruby Asia Taxi Services

Taxi Hire Agreement

These terms govern all taxi and private vehicle hire services provided by Ruby Asia Travel & Tours. By booking our transportation services, you agree to these conditions.

For airport transfers, please allow additional time for flight delays and immigration procedures.

Booking & Pricing

  • Quotes: All prices are quoted in LKR/USD and include GST. Airport parking fees included for transfers.
  • Waiting Time: Complimentary 45min wait at airport after flight landing. Additional waiting charged at LKR 500/15min thereafter.
  • Payment: Cash (LKR/USD) or credit card payments accepted in-vehicle. Online prepayment required for luxury vehicles.
  • Surcharges: Night trips (10pm-5am) incur 20% extra. Toll fees and parking (non-airport) are clients responsibility.

Cancellation Policy

Standard Vehicles

  • No charge if cancelled 24hrs before pickup
  • 50% fee for cancellations 6-24hrs before
  • 100% charge for cancellations 6hrs or no-shows

Luxury/VIP Vehicles

  • No charge if cancelled 72hrs before
  • 30% fee for cancellations 24-72hrs before
  • Full charge for cancellations 24hrs

Passenger Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate pickup/destination details and contact number
  • Ensure children use appropriate car seats (available on request)
  • No smoking in vehicles - LKR 5,000 cleaning fee applies
  • Damage to vehicle interiors will incur repair charges
  • Maximum luggage: 2 suitcases + 2 hand luggage per sedan

Driver Protocols

  • All drivers are licensed and background-checked
  • Standard working hours: max 12hrs/day
  • Will assist with reasonable luggage handling
  • Can refuse transport if safety concerns exist

Special Circumstances

  • Flight delays: Monitor flights automatically for airport pickups
  • Medical emergencies: Will assist getting to nearest hospital
  • Vehicle breakdown: Immediate replacement arranged
  • Route changes: Additional distance charged at standard rates

Important Notes

  • Prices may change due to fuel price fluctuations
  • We are not liable for delays due to traffic/weather
  • Complaints must be submitted within 24hrs of service
  • These terms are governed by Sri Lankan transport laws

For chauffeur services exceeding 8hrs/day, additional rest periods apply.
